None of the treatments available today for Alzheimer’s are disease modifying, they are unable to slows or stop the death and malfunction of neurons making the disease fatal.

Daniele Santini chose this paper because ‘Cancer pain is great healthcare problem, with current treatment strategies often failing to obtain acceptable efficacy. One of the major difficulties in treating cancer pain derives from the complex interplay between the cancer microenvironment, cancer therapy, and the personal responses to these biochemical changes’.
